KEY BENEFITS
A robust solution delivered in a limited installation period
Background
An uncontrolled crossing located outside a school was experiencing ongoing problems with cars continuously over- running the existing flag tactile crossing, causing damage and creating a trip hazard for pedestrian users. St. Helens Council needed a tactile solution that would withstand

Outcome
The installation was quick and easy with no disruption
or road closures.
The application was installed within 60 minutes, with no need for costly external traffic management or any wastage from removal of existing materials and was ready for pedestrian usage within 90 minutes – all in time for the busy school pick up.
The crossing has now been in place for 3 years undamaged by over-running cars.
